This teacup is made using an interesting technique called “Tatara-zukuri,” where clay slabs are wrapped to form the shape (with the seam left visible). The camellia design is additionally sculpted with extra clay, giving it a three-dimensional look. It can be used as a teacup or stylishly displayed as an interior decoration.
