This ‘Kyo-Kumiko’ lighting series is meticulously assembled by Kyoto’s master woodworkers without the use of nails or other fasteners, carefully joining each piece of wood. While traditional Kumiko work is typically flat, Kyo-Kumiko creates intricate patterns by combining straight and curved wooden pieces, resulting in a unique curved surface design never seen before.

Crafted from Kyoto-grown cypress, this piece is characterized by its warm hues and subtle fragrance. The light source is softly diffused through washi paper, enhancing the delicate craftsmanship of the Kumiko work, beautifully illuminating the space.

The lampshade features a modern design inspired by traditional Japanese auspicious patterns. Sized to fit on a table or shelf, it is perfect for the living room or bedroom.
