This “Kiriko-style” lighting series creates a soft rhythm in any space with Japanese silhouettes drawn by light. The form, crafted by skilled artisans who have mastered working with wood, uses traditional “Kumiko” techniques. “Kiriko-style” refers to a shape where the corners of a cube are cut off. Inspired by the Kiriko lanterns lit during Japan’s Obon festival, the design incorporates traditional Japanese auspicious patterns as well as original motifs, all with a modern twist.
