Kyofudo Mayu Shop is housed in a Kyo-machiya (traditional Japanese townhouse) located just down Ogawa Street from Oike. Kyofudo, located in this land rich with a long history and a vibrant cultural heritage, strives to be a hub of connection—bringing together people, ideas, and cultures. From this traditional Kyoto townhouse, where countless people, diverse cultures, and a wealth of information have intertwined over the years, we aim to create a fresh new breeze once again.

To promote products, food, and culture born from Japan's wonderful traditional techniques, we collaborate with many people to expand sales channels domestically and internationally, develop new products, and plan various events.

Mayu Shop

At Kyofudo Mayu Shop, we exhibit and sell a variety of traditional crafts with a long history rooted in this land, as well as processed foods made from local ingredients such as Kyoto sweets and tea. Additionally, we host an art gallery, traditional craft workshops, and cultural exchange events such as tea ceremony and flower arrangement.
